For Puppies: Start Early, Keep It Stress-free

Don’t wait until your pup needs a full groom. Start gently as soon as they’ve had their vaccinations (around 14 weeks).

Puppy sessions include:

  • Exploring the salon and meeting the equipment
  • Desensitisation to sounds like clippers and showers
  • Light tidy-up around eyes and hygiene areas
  • Treats and praise throughout
  • Play and hydration before going home
These sessions help your puppy build positive associations with grooming, making future visits easier for everyone.

About us

Pooch Trims & Treats started with our family dog, Louie, a Cockapoo who needed regular grooming. What began as a one-day course soon became a career.

In 2025, Louie sadly passed away after developing IVDD. His memory lives on through the Louie Special—our most popular grooming style—and a framed photo in the salon that reminds us why we do what we do.

Can I stay during the groom?
Dogs are usually more settled without their owner present. We use treats and breaks to keep them calm.
Up to two hours depending on your dog’s size, coat and needs.
Prices start from £25. We’ll confirm the exact cost when you book.
No. We keep the salon crate-free, and while it’s not always one dog at a time, your pet will never be left waiting in a crate.

We’re based in Everton (near Sandy) and welcome dogs from Biggleswade, Potton, Gamlingay and nearby villages.
